Since coming out in December, Braunwyn Windham-Burke has received an outpour of support from everyone from her husband, Sean, to a number of her fellow Bravolebrities. Now, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member is opening up about the experience she’s had in the weeks since publicly sharing her story. 

During a January 13 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Andy asked, “What was the catalyst for you to publicly come out?” to which Braunwyn replied, “There was a photo that TMZ had, and they gave me the consideration to tell the story in my own terms first.” 

In the video above, Braunwyn also shared the interesting way she met her girlfriend, Kris. “On Tinder,” she explained, noting that although they were undeniably a match…Braunwyn wasn’t necessarily the one doing all the swiping. “My girlfriends set up a fake account for me, and kind of pre-dated some people. And I met her on Tinder.” 

Though Braunwyn has been relatively quiet about showing the details of her new relationship on social media, she has shared the occasional photo of Kris through her Instagram Stories. Previously, she posted a photo of the two enjoying some time together outside, and on January 13, she wished Kris a happy birthday with a sweet message. 

“Happy birthday,” Braunwyn captioned a photo of Kris on a boat, blowing out a candle on a cupcake. “Thank you for being you.”
