Captain Lee Gives Eddie Lucas His First Officer Stripes, Says "You Earned It"

Saying goodbye to Eddie and Francesca Rubi was "really touching" for Captain Lee.

Francesca Rubi presented Captain Lee Rosbach with a shammy signed by the whole My Seanna crew during the Below Deck Season 8 finale. Now the Below Deck boss is giving us a closer look at that unique gift.

Captain Lee shared a photo of the shammy on Instagram in advance of the Below Deck Season 8 reunion airing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on February 22. "Well friends, we have wrapped up another great season of BD," Captain Lee wrote in the caption to the post on Instagram. "Thanks to the crew for this sweet souvenir."

The blue shammy included messages from all of the My Seanna yachties that remained when the charter season came to an abrupt end after the final two groups of guests cancelled. Chef Rachel Hargrove, chief stew Francesca Rubi, stew Ashling Lorger, bosun Eddie Lucas, and deckhands Rob Phillips, Izzy Wouters, and James Hough all showed their gratitude to Captain Lee for everything he did for them during Below Deck Season 8 and beyond.

Captain Lee opened up about how much the "pretty cool" shammy gift from the crew really meant to him during the Below Deck After Show.

"Yeah, that was really touching. I mean, that's the sort of thing that you strive for when you realize that maybe you have made an impact, and a good one, because that's what you work for, to try to have a positive impact on people's lives," Captain Lee shared in the above clip. "The job that we do is very difficult, do the best for our guests and run a tight ship. So we're working all the time towards that goal, and when you have your crew collectively come together and give you something like that, it's very touching and renews your faith in what you're doing."
