The cast member also dated Paige DeSorbo, Danielle Olivera, and Mackenzie Dipman while on the show.

By Talia Ergas

Summer House fans are anxiously awaiting the Season 8 premiere, which premieres Thursday, Feb. 22 at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo. The biggest news from the upcoming season, of course, is that viewers will get a firsthand look into Carl Radke calling off his wedding to Lindsay Hubbard

How to Watch

Watch Summer House on Bravo Thursdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app.

But that's just the latest example of Carl putting his emotions out there for the world to see on the show. Throughout his time on the series (which he's been a part of since Season 1), Carl has also dated castmates Lauren Wirkus and Paige DeSorbo. He briefly rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend Danielle Olivera on camera, and he even brought a familiar face to Love Island fans — Mackenzie Dipman — into the Hamptons for a weekend.

Here's what to know about Carl's relationship history.

Carl Radke Gives an Update on His Relationship with Lauren Wirkus

Carl met Lauren were both original cast members on Summer House Season 1, though they'd met the year before. Their relationship was a roller coaster from the start as the pair flirted, dated, hooked up, and fought in Seasons 1 and 2 before ultimately deciding to just be friends.

“A lot of what people have watched on our show is us fighting or us having these ups and downs, but we've had a lot of fun together," Carl explained to The Daily Dish in 2019. "How I handled myself in dating her and not dating her, I definitely regret a little bit of how I behaved. I chalk that up to a lot of just immaturity on my end. Also, I think, just my communication skills with her, I struggled really to be honest with how I felt."

Carl brought Danielle into the house in Season 2 as his ex-girlfriend and then-friend. The pair had dated briefly in 2015

In Season 4, they briefly rekindled their romance, making out in the final episode. Carl later revealed that he and Danielle had hooked up earlier that summer and, at the Season 4 reunion, they confirmed that they kissed one more time after the cameras stopped rolling but weren’t dating in any official capacity.

"Danielle and I are still really good friends," Carl said. "I love the girl. We get along."

Carl Radke briefly dated Paige DeSorbo in the summer of 2018

Carl met Paige when she joined the Summer House cast in Season 3, which aired in 2019. Their relationship quickly took a romantic turn (with a visit to the camera-less kitchen pantry). However, Paige expressed disappointment over Carl not making enough of an effort to connect while they were back in New York City during the week. Their fling quickly fizzled out, and they decided to move forward as friends

During the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show in April 2021, Andy Cohen read a fan question that asked, “Between Lindsay, Paige, and Danielle, who do you regret not making it work with the most?” to which Carl answered, “Paige.”

Carl Radke dated Love Island’s Mackenzie Dipman in Season 6

Daily Dish Ig Carl Radke Sobriety Update

“I met Mackenzie two years ago and we reconnected,” a newly sober Carl explained in Season 6, which was filmed in the summer of 2021. “I’ve never really dated sober before, so I’m scared a little bit.” That season, viewers saw Carl and Mackenzie go on a date in New York City in Episode 6 (he mentioned that he liked that she doesn’t party a lot) and she visited him at the Hamptons house during Episode 7.

However, by Episode 11, Carl revealed to Kyle Cooke that he had ended things with Mackenzie because he felt he wasn’t ready to date anyone seriously before hitting the one-year mark of sobriety. “I just needed a break,” he shared, admitting that Mackenzie made him happy but “sobriety is number one.”

Carl Radke’s relationship with Lindsay Hubbard

Longtime friends Carl and Lindsay tried dating in Season 4 of Summer House (which was filed in the summer of 2019), but didn't take things any further after a tumultuous first date.

However, in September 2021, they confessed their feelings for one another at Amanda Batula and Kyle’s wedding, which aired on the Season 6 finale. They went on vacation together a month later and, by January 2022, Carl and Lindsay confirmed that were officially dating

The couple moved in together in June 2022, and they entered the Hamptons house as a couple in Season 7. Their bestie/roommate Danielle was vocal about her belief that the couple was moving too quickly.

Still, Carl proposed to Lindsay on the beach on August 27, 2022, which played out in Season 7, Episode 13.

Though Carl and Lindsay were set to wed in Mexico in November 2023, Carl broke off the engagement less than three months before the big day. (Viewers will get to see the breakup play out in Season 8, and you can get a sneak peek by pressing play on the trailer at the top of this post.)

Carl announced the breakup in a September 2023 letter to his family and friends obtained by People.

"Words cannot possibly express how difficult the last two weeks have been for Lindsay and I," he wrote. "We are so incredibly sorry to all of our guests for the confusion and lack of communication. We were left trying to figure out how this all exactly happened before we could even have the opportunity to determine the path forward amongst ourselves."

"There have been a lot of false narratives and misunderstandings that have made this all the more painful but sadly at this time we are not moving forward with the wedding," he added. "The fact of the matter is Lindsay is devastated and I'm crushed with how all this transpired. I graciously ask for some patience and grace to heal and recover while we navigate this extremely difficult time."

In a November 2023 interview with People at BravoCon 2023, Carl refuted Lindsay's public claims that his decision "blindsided" her.

“I firmly don't believe she was blindsided, because we've had these conversations," he shared. “We had a really rough summer and I think people will see that [on the show.] But it just shows the gravity of the situation when I really deep down felt like I needed to have a conversation with her about where we were at in our relationship and moving forward with the wedding.”
