Contessa Metcalfe Just Introduced the Newest Member of Her Family
The Married to Medicine doctor shared an adorable photo of her new dog, King.
Dr. Contessa Metcalfe celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. Day in an exciting way. The Married to Medicine cast member took to social media to share the newest member of her family, a dog named King.
Contessa posted an adorable photo of the French bulldog on Instagram with the caption, “Meet ‘King’ Metcalfe.”
Yes, the dog’s name is cute, but Contessa made sure to credit her little ones for thinking of it. “It was the kiddos idea to name him ‘King’ since he was officially adopted today… on the holiday commemorating the life and legacy [of] Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”
While announcing her family’s new pet, Contessa couldn’t contain her excitement, writing at the end of the caption, “I’m a [Frenchie mom] and I’m hooked!”
It’s been an exciting time for Contessa and her family. Last year, Contessa revealed that she had “no regrets” when it came to her fitness journey, which we saw on Season 9 of Married to Medicine. On October 3, the doctor took to Instagram to share a video featuring photos from her first fitness competition, which she ended up winning.
“My first step towards recovery was to admit I had a problem,” she wrote in her post. “Last year I gained so much mental (and physical) weight trying [to] hold in what I was going through in my personal life. And then I learned… transparency is freedom.”
