Craig Conover's Surprising New Hobby
Craig has a thing for books — after all, he is the author of the book, Pillow Talk: What's Wrong with My Sewing? But instead of writing another book, Craig is reading a book all about beekeeping. Yes, beekeeping.
Craig took to his Instagram Story earlier this week where he showed that he was reading the book, Beekeeping for Dummies by Howland Blackiston on his back patio, overlooking his backyard. "Forgot to share this morning's reading," he wrote below the photo.
The book promises to teach readers all about backyard beekeeping and how to harvest honey in a straight forward way that is easy to learn.
As Southern Charm viewers may know, Craig's backyard is one of his favorite places to be. Not only does his backyard have a putting green, hot tub, and pool, but it also has a flower and vegetable garden, where Craig has put his gardening skills to work. Who knows? Maybe it will also have a beehive sometime soon, too.
Craig Conover's Career Update
While Craig slowly learns about beekeeping, his career is taking off. In addition to announcing that he is planning to open a restaurant in Charleston with Southern Charm cast member, Austen Kroll, he is also focusing on his philanthropy work, too.
On Wednesday, Feb. 28, it was announced that Craig has been appointed to the Hope for the Warriors board council. Hope for the Warriors is a charity that assists veterans and military families by providing financial, career, and educational stability, in addition to physical, emotional, and social support.
"My passion has always been helping others, especially those who have served our country in the military," Craig said in a press release. "Hope for the Warriors is a wonderful, giving nonprofit that allows me to take that passion to another level. The work that HOPE does for our military families is life changing. I'm honored that they've asked me to not only let me represent the organization at annual events, but to let me serve on its board council."
From bees to working with military families it sounds like this year has a lot in store for Craig.
