Denise Richards Has an Update on Aaron Phypers Adopting Eloise
The RHOBH cast member also revealed what's next for her youngest daughter.
Denise Richards has been open about her youngest daughter Eloise's journey living with a rare chromosomal disorder, Chromosome 8, Monosomy 8p. During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 9 reunion, filmed in 2019, she noted: "It's caused many delays with her and it's caused a lot with speech, development. We found out probably two years ago exactly. It was a very difficult thing to diagnose, she went through a lot. It was really hard when I saw what was written on the medical report to get the blood test and all the testing done. It was hard to see it in black and white, to be honest."
She's also been open about husband Aaron Phypers' plan to adopt Eloise, whom she adopted on her own in 2011 following her divorce from Charlie Sheen. In a recent interview with The Washington Post, she confirmed that Aaron is still in the process of legally adopting her. They are also working on Eloise, who is non-verbal, learning sign language and are in the process of getting her a guide dog.
Back in June, around Father's Day, Denise revealed that Eloise has been making progress. "The greatest gift [is] Eloise being able to say 'dad' for the first time a month ago," Denise wrote in the post on Instagram.
Denise is also a mom to two teen daughters, Sam and Lola, whom she shares with Sheen.
