Denise Richards Reveals Daughter Eloise's Major Accomplishment While Celebrating Father's Day
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member paid tribute to husband Aaron Phypers and dad Irving Richards.
This Father's Day was especially meaningful for Denise Richards and her family.
In a post commemorating the holiday on Instagram on June 21, Denise expressed her gratitude for her 9-year-old daughter Eloise's latest accomplishment. "The greatest gift [is] Eloise being able to say 'dad' for the first time a month ago," Denise wrote in the post.
Denise previously opened up about Eloise's journey living with a rare chromosomal disorder, Chromosome 8, Monosomy 8p, during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 reunion, which was filmed in 2019. "It's caused many delays with her and it's caused a lot with speech, development," she shared. "We found out probably two years ago exactly. It was a very difficult thing to diagnose, she went through a lot. It was really hard when I saw what was written on the medical report to get the blood test and all the testing done. It was hard to see it in black and white, to be honest."
Since then, Denise has kept RHOBH fans updated on Eloise, whom she adopted as a single mom in 2011, sharing more good news about her progress at home and during their travels. Denise also previously shared during The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 After Show that her husband, Aaron Phypers, planned to adopt Eloise.
There was no better time to thank Aaron for all that he has done as a dad to Eloise and stepdad to Denise's daughters, Sami, 16, and Lola, 15, whom she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, than on Father's Day. "Happy Father’s Day to my beautiful husband," Denise also included in the post. "I can’t imagine a better father for our Eloise [and] stepfather for Sami [and] Lola. I love you so much."
Of course, Denise didn't forget about her own father, Irving Richards, on this special day. "Happy Father’s Day to my dad. You are the best dad ever," Denise shared in the post. "Thank you for always being there [and] being an amazing role model. I love you so much."
