Dolores Catania's Ex Frank Gives an Update on His Recovery After Suffering a Fall

Dolores Catania's ex-husband, Frank Catania, is out of the hospital and recovering at home after suffering a fall last month.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 premiere May 5th at 8/7c on Bravo and stream next day on Peacock.

Dolores checked in on Frank in a video in her Instagram Story on Monday, March 2 to let all the concerned Real Housewives of New Jersey fans know how he's doing while he recuperates. And, well, let's just say that it sounds like Frank would much rather be out and about than resting and relaxing at home. "I'm going stir crazy!" Frank exclaimed in Dolores' Instagram Story.

Frank was hospitalized in mid-February for dislocating his kneecap and tearing both of his quads after suffering a fall. He then underwent surgery. "I am going to be laid up for a while," Frank, who had braces on his legs and used a walker to get around in the hospital, said at the time. "It's gonna be a long road to recovery."

Frank was happy to report in Dolores' latest Instagram Story that he is no longer on crutches, although he still has braces on his legs and his mobility hasn't been fully restored.

However, Frank said that one of his biggest concerns after his accident was "losing size" as a result of not being able to hit the gym to work out and maintain his buff physique. "You're still a big guy, no?" Dolores told Frank. "You look very lean."

Frank then proceeded to show Dolores and all of her Instagram followers that he's still got it, flexing his muscles in some fierce bodybuilding poses.

He even humored Dolores when she asked him to show off his dance moves, although he said that he is "the worst dancer in the world."

"We're proud of you," Dolores told Frank of his recovery. "I mean, I really am."

Dolores told Page Six after Frank's accident that his recovery was "going to test his strength."

“This will be the first time Frank is physically defeated,” she said. “He’s going to lose his muscles for the first time in his life. Those huge, big legs. Those 20-inch arms. How is Frank mentally going to handle this? What defined him was his body and working out.”

But as far as we can tell from Dolores' Instagram Story, it looks like Frank is doing just fine, and we are so glad to see that.
