Dorit Kemsley Responds to Rumors PK Kemsley Put Her "On a Budget"
The RHOBH cast member cleared something up about her marriage after Andy Cohen called out her recent "style transformation."
Since Dorit Kemsley joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in Season 7, she has been known for her eye-catching fashion choices. As she explained in 2021, "I just happen to wear a lot of designer clothes." So, when Dorit rocked a more understated look throughout Season 13, fans were quick to take notice — and wonder if Paul "PK" Kemsley was influencing the change.
On Part 2 of the RHOBH Season 13 reunion, host Andy Cohen noted, "This year you underwent a style transformation: dark colors, brown hair, and an unusually logo-free wardrobe." He went on to state on behalf of a viewer at home, "Being blonde gets expensive. Between the new brown hair and the toned-down outfits. I'm thinking PK put Dorit on a budget."
Did Paul "PK" Kemsley put Dorit Kemsley "on a budget"?
Kyle Richards was amused by the claim, exclaiming, "Not the 'B' word."
To be clear, Dorit declared, "Nobody is going to put me on a budget."
"One has nothing to do with the other," she continued. "The dark hair, I was ready for a change... The brown hair was just a choice. I'm not on a budget by my husband." When Andy asked if she was on a budget at all, she clarified, "I'm not on a budget."
Do Dorit Kemsley and Paul "PK" Kemsley have a prenuptial agreement?
Dorit shared more about the financial details of her marriage during the episode. When asked if she has a prenup, she confirmed that she does not, explaining, "I met my husband when he was bankrupt."

Dorit Kemsley on her hair change and style transformation
In February 2023, Dorit debuted her darker hair color. “I just felt like I needed change. Being a blonde, it’s very high-maintenance,” she told Page Six Style in an interview published in April of the same year. “And I’m so high-maintenance as it is, I just feel like my hair should not be as high-maintenance!”
More recently, she spoke to BravoTV.com about how her style has changed after she experienced a traumatic home invasion in 2021. "The last couple of years, I feel like I found myself feeling like I wanted to be covered up a lot, and I think it mirrored what was happening inside of me; the vulnerability, and the fear, and a lot of the things that are associated with some of the feelings that I've had," she shared backstage at the Season 13 reunion. "I had some [fashion] moments, but I wasn't taking too many risks."
