We've seen Dr. Jackie Walters share so many words of wisdom with the ladies of Married to Medicine. Now Dr. Jackie is sharing the expertise she's amassed during her 20-year career as an OBGYN with people everywhere in her new book, The Queen V.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo and streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

In the book, out now, Dr. Jackie breaks down the 12 most important principles to living your best life when it comes to sex, intimacy, and vaginal healthcare. "I thought this is the perfect time because we're in that era where women are so disempowered, and I wanted to use this book to get that empowerment back," Dr. Jackie told The Daily Dish during an interview in New York City on February 4. "We never talk about this epidemic of disempowerment where women are not made to feel like their feminine health is the most important thing in the room. So I hope when you finish reading the book that you would be able to speak up about feminine health and that you would be able to protect that most important part of your body so that nobody could ever misuse or abuse that again. So I want to give power back to the Queen V."

Dr. Jackie knows what it's like to not feel empowered with her own body. She shares in the book how when she was growing up, no one ever talked about things like sex or periods. "We would hide the pads so nobody could see it and didn't realize having a period was just a part of being a woman. And I was ashamed of it. I didn't want my dad to know that I'd had a period," Dr. Jackie explained. "Without this period, you would not be here. It's a part of life, it's a part of having babies, just feeling free to express that I was a woman, and it was all a part of it."

The Queen V has the distinction of being one of the first books published under Andy Cohen's imprint with Henry Holt & Co., Andy Cohen Books. "I'm so excited that he could see in me something, that I really wanted to bloom and blossom out and gave me an opportunity," Dr. Jackie said of working with Andy on publishing The Queen V. "But he's about the business. You know, deadlines are deadlines, no excuses. He's fun. He laughs about it. He checks in on you. So I've enjoyed that side of Andy. But Andy's always the businessman."

With three bestselling books under his belt, Andy also had some "great" — and motivating — advice for the Married to Medicine doctor. "Get this s--t done," Dr. Jackie recalled of Andy's words of wisdom as she worked on putting her book together. "Just write it. Get it done."

But what was really inspiring for Dr. Jackie was the fact that Andy knew how important it was for her book to get out there. "Just the whole, 'I believe you can do it, and this sounds like something the world needs,'" Dr. Jackie said. "To be a guy and feel like women really need this now was awesome."
