Here's the Question That Reignited Anisha Ramakrishna and Monica Vaswani's Beef on WWHL
During a dramatic episode of WWHL, the Family Karma cast members also revealed the latest on their love lives.
Anisha Ramakrishna and Monica Vaswani seemed to squash their beef at Amrit Kapai and Nicholas Kouchoukos' Halloween party this season of Family Karma. Unfortunately, their appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on July 28 may have just reignited it.
During the virtual chat, along with fellow guests Brian Benni, Vishal Parvani, and Bali Chainani, Anisha was asked by a fan if their past drama was really all due to that comment she made about Monica and Brian during the group's trip to Key West in Season 1. "I would say that's the reason," Anisha replied.
However, Monica wagged her finger to signify that she didn't agree with Anisha. "I would say it isn't [the reason]," Monica said. "No, I think that there was definitely a feeling in the air I was starting to get that she was being a little bit more standoffish. And if I'm being honest, I think it kind of stems from the relationship that I had with your mom."
Anisha said that she had "no comment" in response to Monica. "My mom loves me, and I love my mom," she shared. "Why would I be jealous of that? That's very odd for you to say."
Monica clarified her comments. "I actually never said that you were jealous of it; I just said I think it stems from that," she explained.
Anisha said that she didn't agree with Monica's assessment at all. "That's very odd," she said. "No, we both know that's not true."
Monica elaborated on "where the confrontation stems from," explaining that she felt like Anisha "was really trying to fight against the grain as an Indian girl, and I was the complete opposite of that."
However, Anisha said that "no one can agree" with what Monica was saying, but what they all could agree on is that "this is going left." Anisha noted that since this season of Family Karma is now over, "we're just gonna smile," before telling Monica, "I can't believe you just did that."
Bali backed Anisha up and said that what Monica said was "an unnecessary reach." But Monica simply said, "If I'm asked a question, I'm going to answer it exactly how I feel."
After a commercial break, Anisha said that she was still confused by Monica's comments. "I don't know why you just did that. We're in a good place," she said. "Why are you rehashing things that are untrue? I don't know why you would do that. You know it's not true, Monica."
Bali came to Anisha's defense and shared that all of this was difficult for her to hear because they had previously been "protective" of Monica and had been "rallying" around her. However, Monica said that she didn't feel that support from Bali and Anisha and actually felt closer to the guys in the group.
You can see how Anisha, Monica, and Bali hashed out their drama and where they left things on WWHL in the above clip.
Elsewhere in this episode of WWHL, Monica also addressed a fan's question about Anisha calling her boyfriend, Rish Karam, "Dollar Store Drake" this season of Family Karma, saying that she took it as "a diss." "Yeah, I definitely wasn't happy about that," Monica said. "I didn't find it funny."
Still, Monica and Rish are going strong. During the WWHL After Show, Andy Cohen asked Monica if she and Rish had set a wedding date yet. "Not yet," Monica replied. "I haven't been asked [to marry him], but I hope so."
As for Anisha's love life, she confirmed on WWHL that she did keep in touch with "the hottie," whose name is Krish, that she went on a date with this season. "So, I did see that hottie again. A few more times," Anisha revealed.
However, she is still taking her time when it comes to starting a family after viewers watched her go through the process of freezing her eggs this season. "Well, that's the beauty now. I have time. So who knows? No rush," Anisha said when asked when she plans to get pregnant, adding, "How 'bout I get laid first?"
In all seriousness, Anisha was proud to share her journey on Family Karma, calling it the highlight of her season during the WWHL After Show. "My rose was definitely being able to share that I froze my eggs," she said. "With so many women out there, I've gotten amazing feedback from women from all different cultures telling me they don't feel alone anymore and that it's OK, and I'm normalizing egg freezing."
Anisha then said that her thorn of the season was Vishal and Dillon Patel's drama, which she actually related back to what transpired between her and Monica on WWHL that night. "My thorn was actually the tiff between Vishal and Dillon, because when any one of us get into tiffs, including me and Monica, [it] unfortunately affects the whole group and everyone in the community," Anisha said. "So it's tough."
