Fredrik Eklund Confirms He Is Leaving Million Dollar Listing
"You truly changed my life," the longtime MDLNY and MDLLA agent shared on Instagram in a message about the exit.
Fredrik Eklund confirmed on Monday (January 24) that he is leaving Million Dollar Listing. Fredrik has shared his personal and professional life with viewers since Season 1 of Million Dollar Listing New York and later on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles in Seasons 12 and 13. He reflected on it all in a social media post on Monday, which he captioned with a heart emoji.
“After an amazing 11 years, I’ve decided it’s time for the next chapter in my life, and to leave Million Dollar Listing, It’s an end of an era and a new start for me," he shared on Instagram, “I mean what an incredible run we had together. All of my memorable milestones from the last decade I shared with all of you: meeting [my husband] Derek [Kaplan], our wedding, the miscarriages, the birth of our twins [Freddy and Milla], and all the beautiful properties. I will always cherish that shared experience.”
The lengthy statement reflected on Fredrik's journey from when he was "an up-and-coming agent with a super small team" before crediting that "the show gave us superpowers" to become "the nation's largest and most prolific team."
The high-kick-loving agent added in the emotional post that no matter what, "We just kept going. I was relentless, cocky, crazy, fun, emotional, vulnerable, and everything in between and I grew so much because of the show." He also thanked the fans and noted "I can't wait for you to see what's next. You truly changed my life."
