Then, during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Guerdy revealed another source of strength and support throughout her health trials:  Julia Lemigova's wife Martina Navratilova.

During her December 6 appearance in the WWHL Clubhouse, Guerdy called Martina: "Really cool people." Since Martina has battled cancer herself (more on that below), Andy asked: "Was [Martina] a support to you during your cancer [journey?]" Guerdy quickly responded: "Yes, of course!" And then she revealed a major piece of advice that Martina had given her.

Guerdy continued: "The first thing that she said to me is 'Guerdy, you know what? Be selfish.' And I'm like, 'oh my God, I don't know how to do that, and I've learned how to do it very well." Smiling, she added: "Guerdy's being selfish!" Well, it seems that her new attitude is paying off.

When Andy asked Guerdy how she was doing, the RHOM cast member said: "I'm doing great, thank God. I'm counting the blessings, and not the setbacks," for sure.

Martina Navratilova Battled Two Types of Cancer

The tennis legend recently discovered that she has two different types of cancer. RHOM viewers will learn more about Julia's journey in Season 6

As a press release for RHOM Season 6 reads, Julia’s "main goal" for the season "is to live life to the fullest as her wife, Martina Navratilova, beat the odds after battling two cancers."

After Martina was diagnosed with throat and breast cancers, Julia "has a new outlook on life." She still "manages the farm, returns to the runway and challenges herself to even learn opera." These days, Martina is doing quite well.

Less than three months after confirming her Stage 1 diagnosis with both types of cancer, Martina announced that she was "cancer-free."

Julia expressed her excitement at her wife's clean bill of health in an exclusive statement to The Daily Dish."I am so proud of my champion for taking on two cancers and beating them triumphantly!" she shared.
