Bethenny Frankel Is Hard at Work on Relief Efforts for Hurricane Dorian
The Real Housewives of New York City alum was named an endorsed relief partner of the Bahamian Consulate.
Just last week, Bethenny Frankel's B Strong initiative team touched down in the Amazonian rainforest to help combat rampant wildfires and assist in bringing humanitarian aid to people in the area. Now, The Real Housewives of New York City alum has expanded her international relief efforts to the Bahamas, where Hurricane Dorian is causing extreme floods and destroying homes and infrastructure.
"Currently working on relief for the Bahamas & taking search & rescue mission there tomorrow to see what were up against," she wrote on Twitter on Monday. She posted an update at noon EST on Tuesday: "We’re in a holding pattern bc of restricted air space. Working on loading generators, chainsaws & medical equipment onto the sea planes for when we’re cleared. We’ve been endorsed by the Bahamian Consulate as a relief partner. Donate!"
"Prayers are beautiful but we need money for rescue missions and barges to bring our relief. #bstrong #globalempowermentmission," she wrote on Twitter earlier on Tuesday, after musician Pharrell Williams tweeted prayers out for the Bahamian people. "We have been endorsed as 1/3 relief organizations for collection & transportation of donated goods by the Bahamian General Consulate," she added.
Other Bravolebs are mobilizing their skills and resources to help with recovery efforts in any way they can. Southern Charm entrepreneur Craig Conover raised almost $5,000 for Abacos in one day through the sales of his Bahamian-inspired spiny lobster pillow from his sewing lifestyle brand, Sewing Down South. Below Deck Med's João Franco will be sharing designated drop-off points for relief supplies via his social media and Below Deck's Adrienne Gang is preparing to take such supplies directly to Abacos via charter yacht when able.
