Is Luann de Lesseps Working on New Music?
The Big Apple performer shares if a follow-up to "Girl Code" is in the works.
The last time Luann de Lesseps released new music was the summer of 2015 and it was the scorching hot anthem, "Girl Code." A lot has changed since The Real Housewives of New York City performer gifted the world with that track — but with a cabaret performance planned for two dates in Manhattan, it looks like the world may soon hear Luann sing again. In an interview with The New York Times, Luann revealed that following her show #CountessAndFriends at Feinstein’s/54 Below (a date scheduled for Feb. 27 and another in March), she'll be putting the finishing touches on “Make It Part of the Dance."
“The important thing is to not take yourself so damn seriously,” she said in the interview, revealing the song is inspired, in part, by the moment she fell in the bushes during the Season 9 trip to Mexico (clip above). “I always think, ‘I can survive this if I keep on moving.’”
No further details about when she plans to debut the track were available. In the meantime, she's slated to take the stage at her two sold-out shows in the Big Apple. “To know that the show was totally sold out and people are still trying to get tickets is a really great feeling,” she shared in The New York Times profile. “That I get to come back and have something creative to sink my teeth into has been really helpful for me, because it’s been a rocky road, the past two years.”
