Andy Cohen Says Bravo's "Cooking up" Plans in "Place of a Reunion" for RHONJ Season 14
Hear Andy Cohen give "context" to the news about The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 not having a traditional reunion.
Following reports that Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey would not feature a traditional reunion, Andy Cohen has both confirmed the news and explained the reasoning for it.
The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host prefaced said explanation by stating that his goal was to "give some context" to the decision, as he's already seen "a lot of theories about what this could mean" for the show.
"I think that the main thing is this will all make sense once you see the finale," Andy began on the June 3 broadcast of Radio Andy's Reality Checked. "It is one of those classic Jersey finales that people will be talking about for a long time to come. And when all of us producers saw the last cut of the finale, we all came to the decision separately and then we talked. We all had the same thought, which is the finale is kind of the finale and the reunion all in one."
According to Andy, the Season 14 conclusion follows "the great tradition of absolute shocking [and] dramatic Jersey finales."

More specifically, the cast — which currently includes Teresa Giudice, Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda, as well as friends Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler — has "this final epic group encounter, which is like, it feels like the Last Supper and is just so Jersey," Andy teased. "And it's shocking and it's dramatic and it's amazing TV. I'm telling you, when you see it, I think that you'll feel complete. I really do."
What's more, "There will be something that Bravo is cooking up in place of a reunion, and so that is to be announced," Andy noted.
As for why this news is coming so early in the season, as Andy put it, "If you think about the timing of when we tape reunions, typically we tape them about six weeks before the end of the season, which means that we would've been taping this one in a couple weeks, which means you have to let the cast know, okay, what date are we taping it and what kind of clothes and whatever. We were letting the cast know. And of course it leaked as things do."
Rest assured, though, there's still plenty of Jersey action to come. "This season, it is really catching fire," Andy said. "There's stuff happening with everyone."
