We've watched James Kennedy experience the ups and downs of love right in front of our very eyes. He had a rather heated romance with Kristen Doute (to say the least) and a later little flirtation with Lala Kent. But these days his heart belongs to Raquel Leviss. And, there's a reason why the college student/beauty queen has won this DJ over.

"I don't know; what makes you special? She's just the most beautiful soul I've ever met in my life. I'm blushing now," he confessed to The Daily Dish while she sat near him off camera. "She's just a beautiful soul inside and out, and I couldn't be luckier."

Not that the couple hasn't faced some trials and tribulations. As we saw earlier this season on Vanderpump Rules, James faced rumors that he had cheated on his long-distance girlfriend. Now, with that all behond them, James credits those hardships for making the couple stronger than ever.

"Obviously I understand all the rumors and the drama and everything that's happened on the show," he said. "You know we've basically gone through it together and I felt like these girls went to the end of the Earth to try and ruin my relationship. But we've stuck through everything and we love each other. But that's what makes relationships stronger is going through hard times and good times."

Plus it probably doesn't hurt that Raquel has James' mom Jacqueline's seal of approval, because, yes, that does matter to James. "As much as it to any son for their mother to approve," he said. "What son doesn't really care what their mother thinks? That's not a good son."
