Where Jax Taylor and Lisa Vanderpump Currently Stand
Jax may no longer work as a bartender at SUR, but today, he said he and Lisa are "great."
“Everything’s good. We had some unresolved issues,” Jax told Us Weekly on October 9. "We kind of lost contact a little bit during the pandemic and everything ... But everything’s OK now. Everything looks good.”
The two even spoke earlier this month before Jax and Brittany opened their sports bar. (More on that below!)
“I talked to her a couple times. I talked to her a couple of weeks ago, but we didn’t really get into that,” Jax noted. “We had some other things that we had to clear up first. But yeah, I’m excited to have her if she wants to come.”
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's Friendship with Katie Maloney
The couple remains friends with several Vanderpump Rules cast members, including Tom Schwartz, but the same seemingly can't be said for Katie Maloney.
On Oct. 9, Jax told a crowd at City Winery in Boston that things are currently tense when it comes to her. Why? "She’s mean to my wife and I have a problem with that,” Jax said in a video uploaded to an Instagram fan page, per Us Weekly. “She’s mean to my wife. She hasn’t returned calls and they haven’t talked forever. She did our gender reveal [party] and she was in our wedding.”
Katie, for her part, reportedly messaged the aforementioned fan account to respond to Jax's comments. "Lol Brittany hasn’t called me," she allegedly wrote. "I also saw her on Scheana [Shay]’s birthday and we were fine. I’m not mean to her."
Jax Taylor's Life Today
Jax and Brittany are still going strong after welcoming their first child together, a son named Cruz Michael Cauchi, in April 2021.
2023 has been a big year for both Jax and Brittany, as they've done everything from celebrate the soft opening of their new sports bar in Studio City, California to host three "Watch with the Cast" specials of Vanderpump Rules Season 10.
There's more to come, too, as Jax is set to star on E!'s House of Villains, a new competition elimination series hosted by Joel McHale that “brings together 10 iconic and infamous reality television villains under one roof,” according to a press release.
“Hailing from some of the most popular reality television franchises, these notorious villains meet their match as they must outsmart, out-manipulate, and out-scheme each other through a series of challenges in order to win a $200,000 cash prize and the title of ‘America’s Ultimate Supervillain,’” the press release explains. “Each week the contestants compete in a battle-royale challenge that tests their physical, mental, and emotional strength. The winner of the challenge is safe from elimination, and at the end of the week, one villain is sent home. It’s the battle of the century as alliances are made, trusts are broken, and the villains scheme their way to the top.”
House of Villains premieres on E! with a 75-minute supersize episode on Thursday, October 12, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The episode will also air simultaneously across Bravo, SYFY, and USA.
