Jesse Lally Exposes New Details About His Split from Michelle: "All of a Sudden..."

Though Michelle and Jesse only confirmed their split in March 2024, the couple actually separated months earlier, in October 2023. 

The spouses made the decision after filming wrapped on The Valley Season 1, and shortly after they celebrated a milestone wedding anniversary. "Literally two days after our five-year anniversary, mid-October," Jesse told host Andy Cohen about the exact date of their separation. "We went to Montecito and got back and had the conversation."

As Jesse and Michelle have said on The Valley, cracks in their marriage began to really surface after they welcomed their daughter, Isabella Bunny Lally, in 2020. 

"It's so sad because COVID was different for everybody," Jesse said about how the pandemic affected their marriage. "We had Isabella literally a month into lockdown, and how do you balance [that when we had] no help, no grandma, no grandpa — it was just very difficult."

When Michelle and Jesse began filming The Valley in the summer of 2023, the latter spouse thought his marriage was in an "amazing" place. "We had just moved into a new house, our business was incredible, and then all of a sudden..." he said on WWHL.

So, when it came time to watch Season 1 of The Valley back, Jesse was surprised to hear how close Michelle was to pulling the plug on their union. "The amount of times that she said that she was kind of done and checked out, and moved on," he said about what surprised him the most. "There are a few times where I had a few tears in my eyes, because I was like, 'Oh, my God, why am I doing all of this then?'"

As for the rumors that Michelle was sending "sexy pics" to other men, Jesse does believe now that "it was true."

Jesse and Michelle may not be romantically involved anymore, but they continue to do some work together in their respective real estate careers.

"We share past and present clients, so we're doing a little work [together]," Jesse said on WWHL.
