David Foster Opens Up About The Experience That "Had a Profound Impact on Me"
The RHOBH ex is getting ready for another big personal achievement.
Cue up all the applause emojis. Why? Well, David Foster has a lot to look forward to these days. In addition to prepping for his wedding to Katharine McPhee (which always seems to get people talking), The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ex-husband has another big personal achievement on the horizon.
The Grammy winner will be honored for his humanitarian efforts at the 48th annual Juno Awards for his work with the David Foster Foundation, which seeks to raise organ donation awareness and seeks to provide financial support to families in need of transplants in his native Canada. The event takes place this March in Ontario.
Yolanda Hadid's ex said in a statement, via Billboard: "It is with great honour that I accept the 2019 Humanitarian Award. I created the David Foster Foundation in 1986 after meeting a young girl from my hometown who was awaiting a liver transplant. The experience had a profound impact on me, and that's how the Foundation was born. I am fortunate to be able to support many charities and organizations in need, either with my time or through donations, and it has become one of my life's passions. The gift of music has brought me many rewards, and what better way to pay tribute to those gifts than to pay it forward. Giving back is not just a responsibility, it's a necessity."
