The Below Deck alum had an amusing reaction to her baby boy's big achievement.
Another day, another proud mama moment for Kate Chastain.
Since welcoming her first child in 2023, the former chief stew has provided regular looks into her life as a single mom. In addition to sharing a few parenting hacks she’s learned along the way, Kate has also captured sweet moments from her first year with Sullivan Cay.
Her Instagram page has become a digital scrapbook that includes photos and videos of the little one playing with his toys, spending a day at the beach, and enjoying his first Thanksgiving with family. The collection of posts is not only heartwarming, but also proves that time truly does fly when one becomes a parent.

Kate Chastain reacts to her baby boy's big achievement
On Sunday, February 25, Kate returned to social media to share another big milestone for her infant. And her reaction was nothing short of priceless.
“Big day over here,” she wrote in a Story, which featured a screenshot of a text conversation.
The message included two video clips of baby Sulivan on their living room floor as he achieved a major first.
“WE’VE GOT A CRAWLER,” Kate texted.
“We are so f—ked!!!” the recipient replied. “But yaaaayayayayy.”
Kate echoed the sentiment: “HAHAHAHHHAHAH. SO F—CKED,” she wrote back, followed by party popper emojis.

The Florida resident returned to Instagram minutes later and posted a video of Sullivan crawling toward her as she sat on the couch.
"Come on," she's heard telling her boy as she places a TV remote on a cushion. Sullivan then crawled his way to his mom and grabbed the controller. "Yaaaay! Good job! Yaaaay! You did it," Kate said with a laugh.
Kate Chastain reflects on motherhood
The Traitors contestant gave birth to Sullivan back in early May, less than five months after she announced her pregnancy. Kate dished on her new chapter in a December 2022 interview with People magazine, saying she was “absolutely thrilled to become a mother.”
As she approached her 10th month as a single mom, Kate reflected on her new role and her misconceptions about raising a child.
“Sullivan is so cute. So cute,” she told TODAY earlier this month. “And so much work. Way more work than I expected but I just love him so much, so it’s fine. I really thought over the years ‘I can do motherhood. I did yachting.’ It’s so much more work than I expected. But it’s also so much more love than I expected.”
Kate admitted that she always had an idea of what kind of mom she would be; however, that vision eventually dissolved during her first few months as a parent.
“I was such a hypocrite when I was pregnant,” she continued. “I was like, ‘I’m going to be a cool mom. This baby’s going to fit into my life.’ No. I know the words to every Miss Rachel song. I’m not a cool mom. The baby takes over. Buckle up.”
