Has Kenya Moore Hit the Pause Button on Her Pregnancy Plans?
"Being vulnerable to something that means everything to me, it’s scary," the #RHOA entrepreneur shared.
Earlier this year, it definitely seemed like Kenya Moore had babies on the brain. She expressed her desire to start a family last season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, which was followed by an onslaught of rumors that the entrepreneur was pregnant. Kenya even teased that her pregnancy was "going to happen" sooner rather than later to The Daily Dish in May.
However, Kenya recently revealed to ET that she has put her plans to get pregnant via IVF on hold following a "turbulent time" in her relationship with her boyfriend, Matt Jordan. We saw a little bit of this during Sunday's Season 9 premiere of RHOA, when Kenya described one dramatic night at a hotel and revealed that the two had broken up. Kenya called the issues in her relationship "a setback" on the road to motherhood, according to ET. “I’m actually really just scared to go through the process,” she said. “Being the age that I am, failure you know, there’s a high probability of miscarriages... [Plus], sharing it with the world, opening yourself up and being vulnerable to something that means everything to me, it’s scary.”
Still, Kenya remains hopeful that she will start a family one day. “I can’t tell you it will be in the next month, or six months, but it will happen," she shared. "I would obviously want to have a baby with someone I’m in love with, and when some of that behavior showed up … in the relationship, I just felt like I needed to take a pause and really reevaluate whether or not I want to continue to go down that road with my current partner.”
Kenya told ET that she's focusing on taking her haircare line nationwide and thinking about getting into the house-flipping business while she figures out the next steps in her personal life.
The RHOA entrepreneur may have to confront her issues with Matt sooner than she expected when he makes a surprise appearance at the housewarming party for Moore Manor in Sunday night's episode of RHOA at 8/7c. Get a sneak peek of Kenya's reaction, below.
