You’ll Never Guess Who Austen Kroll Reunited With
The Winter House and Southern Charm cast member recently hung out with a familiar face. Get all the details.
Austen Kroll and Kristin Cavallari have officially reunited. The Southern Charm and Winter House cast member could be seen hanging with The Hills alum, along with their fellow friend Justin Anderson, on Sunday, February 19.
Justin documented the Nashville meetup by snapping a photo with Austen and Kristin and sharing it to his Instagram Stories with the caption “after church gang.” Both Kristin and Austen reposted the photo, with Kristin writing, “friends forever ok?” and Austen penning an equally sweet message: “Desperately missed these two. Picked up like we never left.”
Fans may recall that Austen and Kristin, along with Austen’s Southern Charm and Winter House castmate Craig Conover, initially became friends in October 2020 when Kristin went to visit them in Charleston.
As Austen later explained during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in December of that year, “Honestly, she slid into Craig’s DMs and was like, ‘I’m coming into town,’ so we all went to dinner. We all kinda hit it off. We wanted to go and visit them, and we did. We all get along so well.”
The group continued to regularly hang out over the next few months, and while Austen and Kristin, as well as Craig and Kristin, would sometimes be subject to romance rumors, they always shut those down and insisted they were just friends.
As Austen explained on WWHL, “Look, Kristin is out of a 10-year-long relationship [with ex-husband Jay Cutler]. She’s not looking for anything. I’m out of [a relationship with Madison LeCroy], who had one kid. There’s no reason to jump into something with someone who has three kids, I can promise you that.”
Instead, Austen went on to pursue other Bravolebrities, including Summer House’s Ciara Miller and Southern Charm’s Olivia Flowers. The relationship between Austen and the latter played out on Season 8, and while things seemed promising for a while — even Shep Rose thought they were a good match — both Austen and Olivia confirmed at the reunion that they were no longer dating.
As Olivia explained, “It was romantic for a time — especially when we were done filming, we got to take advantage of that time of just having fun and not putting so much pressure on the label.”
However, “nothing’s built in the gray area,” she added. “After a while, it just kind of chips away at your confidence and where you see things going, and it kind of felt like I was being put on hold.”
