Eileen Davidson Pays Tribute to Her Late Young and the Restless Co-Star Kristoff St. John (UPDATED)
"He left an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know him," The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum shared.
UPDATE (Feb. 4, 3:38 p.m.): Eileen also mourned the loss of St. John on Twitter. "I’ll miss you Steel," she tweeted, along with a broken heart emoji.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Fields, who appeared in Roots: The Next Generations and Living Single with St. John, shared on Instagram that she was "speechless," "heartbroken," and "stunned" over the news of his passing. "The wonderful, wonderful actor and really great human being Kristoff St. John passed away yesterday. And yes, he's known for his wonderful work on Young and the Restless. He's one of the few actors that started out as a child. Kristoff and I worked together in Roots 2. He had a wonderful way about his work. He was a good kid. He was just a wonderful, wonderful young actor. So when you see the news reports today and throughout the week and things about his career or his life and the heartbreaking suicide of his son a few years ago, he was a trailblazer in his own right, and I don't want that to get left out," Kim said in an emotional video reacting to St. John's death on Twitter. "I don't want people to not recognize how much it takes to keep reinventing yourself and keep going when you start that young. He was in the groundbreaking movie The Bad News Bears. He was Gladys Knight and Flip Wilson's son in a sitcom for CBS [Charlie & Company]. Yeah, so, you know, just think about all of that. And yes, he won numerous awards for his work on Y&R, absolutely. And he was brilliant. And here's the thing: He didn't play suave, he didn't play handsome, because he was; he played the truth of whatever the moments were in the work. And he was a good guy."
