But there has been a slight rift between Mauricio and Paris after a clip from Buying Beverly Hills went viral of Mauricio talking about leaving his former real estate agency, Hilton & Hyland (which Paris' dad, Rick Hilton, co-owned), was released. Paris later defended her family: "My father has been a consummate gentleman and has always taken the higher road," Paris wrote in the comments section of a fan account.

During a recent Amazon Live, Kyle addressed this rift and added if she has spoken to Paris since this latest family drama made headlines.

Kyle appeared on Amazon Live earlier this week, where she mentioned what Paris wrote about Mauricio. Fans wanted to know if she had spoken to her niece after she wrote that bombshell of a comment, and Kyle was honest in her response — no she has not.

"But she spoke to her cousins, and they cleared all that up," she explained. "I really just was like 'No. Please, no more.' I can't handle any more things."

As you might recall, at the time, Paris wrote, "He [dad Rick] would never speak negatively about his family — especially in the press. Frankly we are all sick of him [Mauricio] using the Hilton name every chance he gets to plug his lame show. It is enough already."

But everything between Kyle and Paris seems to be OK, especially since the same day that Paris defended her dad, she posted a video of her and Kyle joking around to her Instagram story.

Mauricio Umansky's response to Paris Hilton's comments about him

Mauricio responded to Paris' comments in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, just days after she wrote them. "Look, it's sad she got so upset about that, but at the end of the day, it's two business men making business decisions," he explained.

In case you needed a refresher, Mauricio used to work at Hilton & Hyland, which is the agency that Paris' dad, Rick, co-owned. After leaving that agency, Mauricio went on to start The Agency in 2011 and continue building his real estate empire. Mauricio went on to explain his decision for moving on to ET. "I felt like I deserved something," he explained.

"I asked for something, he didn't want to do it, and then I chose to go off on my own. I wanted to care for my family, I wanted to be successful, I wanted to go forward, I wanted to do the most I could, and at the end of the day, I made the decision to go forward with this thing. There is certainly no bad blood on my side."
