Andy Cohen is paying tribute to Lisa Vanderpump’s late dog, Giggy, after he passed away last week. The Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host shared some of his fondest memories of the beloved Pomeranian, dubbing the pooch “a superstar” and “the mascot of Bravo.”
Though he acknowledged that Giggy had been in “frail health” for a while, Andy couldn’t help but get emotional over the loss, as he explained in a recent episode of his SiriusXM show, Radio Andy. “I left Lisa a message yesterday and I was really getting very emotional for two reasons. Giggy really made people happy, and I’m saying that without irony or anything,” he explained.
Andy went on to add, “Giggy was really the mascot of Bravo, especially in those first few years of Beverly Hills Housewives, Giggy was such a superstar.”
He also recalled Giggy’s frequent appearances on WWHL, noting, “Anyone who saw him whether on TV or in person, this dog, they went nuts. This was like a very famous dog. He made people so happy, and Lisa was very generous in sharing him with people.”
Andy also made his love of Giggy known on social media, taking to his Instagram Stories to pay homage to the dog following the sad news of his death on December 12.
“RIP Giggy!!” he wrote alongside a throwback photo with Lisa and Giggy. “It’s a sad day in Bravo nation.”
