Mama Joyce Is Once Again Shading Todd Tucker — See the RHOA Cast Weigh In
Kandi Burruss’ mother made a few shady comments about her son-in-law at BravoCon 2022 that are now coming back to haunt her on RHOA Season 15.
It’s no secret that Mama Joyce Jones hasn’t always approved of Kandi Burruss’ husband, Todd Tucker. The in-laws have a contentious history, and although they’ve managed to keep the peace for the most part in recent years, it’s not often that Mama Joyce passes up an opportunity to throw some shade Todd’s way.
Take BravoCon 2022, for example.
Mama Joyce and Todd’s Latest Drama
In the above preview of The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s upcoming May 21 episode, Shereé Whitfield, Marlo Hampton, and Sanya Richards-Ross are discussing how Mama Joyce was tasked with saying “three nice things about Todd” during a Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen game of “Truth or Drink!” at last year’s BravoCon.
However, Mama Joyce’s responses — that Todd is “still short,” that he “shaved his beard some,” and that he’s “very nice to his kids” — weren’t exactly brimming with goodwill. (Although she did also say that she and Todd were “getting along much better.”)
Kandi’s RHOA Castmates React to Mama Joyce’s Comments About Todd
Shereé found Mama Joyce’s comments to be disrespectful. As she explains in a confessional interview, “At this point, I’m shocked that Mama Joyce is still saying negative things about Todd.”
Marlo is unbothered, though, and simply says in a confessional of her own, “Kandi needs to stop talking about me. She needs to start fixing what’s going on under her roof. Because the streets are talking, and the streets are your mama.”
Additional BravoCon Drama
Sanya is less concerned with what Mama Joyce had to say about Todd at BravoCon and more concerned about what Drew Sidora had to say about her. The preview clip flashes back to the RHOA panel “Atlanta Peaches in NYC,” and Drew can be seen asking Sanya, “Did I give you a hard time, or did you try to pull a hard time for me?”
Reflecting on the comment in a confessional, Sanya says, “When I left at the [Season 14] reunion, there was a lot unresolved with Drew and I. A couple weeks ago, she sent me a text message saying she wanted to extend an olive branch. But then to go onstage [at BravoCon] and flip the script, she needs to cut the sh-t out with me because I’m over it.”
