Mary Cosby Explains Where Her Money Comes From
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member opened up about her finances, noting, "It's not like I just have money coming out of the walls."
Mary Cosby is the first to admit that she has a taste for the finer things in life. From gifting her fellow The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast members lavish Louis Vuitton headphones at her Met Gala-themed luncheon to opening up about the five homes she owns (“We don’t rent our houses or anything. When we’re not there, they are empty. We don’t share.”), Mary undoubtedly leads a glamorous life.
In a recent interview with ET, Mary discussed her finances, and explained where her money comes from. Although Mary is a Pentecostal First Lady, she noted that she does not make money from her church. “I’m so not in it for the money. Oh my goodness, I believe in what I do, I believe in what I’m saying, and I love my church and I love what they are… Money can’t fulfill that, not for me.”
Mary went on to explain that she is “blessed” by the wealth she inherited from her family, and that she also owns a number of businesses with her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., including a printing company that creates billboards and mass produces shopping bags.
Mary has also discussed the matter on the January 6 episode of RHOSLC. “When my grandmother left, she left me her empire: homes, churches, daycares, a mortgage company, restaurants.”
Still, Mary explains that her designer items are worthy investments. “It’s not like I just have money coming out of the walls. These [designer] things that I have are collector pieces,” she told ET.
