Lisa Barlow Has an Update on Her Friendship with Mary Cosby After *That* Text Rant

Lisa also shared how she really reacted when Mary returned to RHOSLC.

When Mary Cosby showed up to the group brunch on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 4 premiere, some of the ladies on the cast had mixed reactions.

How to Watch

Watch the The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City on Bravo Wednesdays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

As fans may recall, the last time Mary appeared on the show was on the Season 2 finale, and she didn’t exactly leave on the best terms with anyone other than her close pal Meredith Marks

“I pretty much cut everyone off,” Mary said during the premiere. “Except Meredith. I’ll just put it this way: The distance was good.”

After sending a series of shady texts to Lisa Barlow, Mary and the Vida Tequila founder came face-to-face for the first time in a long time at the brunch event.

On the post-premiere episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on September 5, Lisa shared whether Mary ever apologized for sending her rage texts, as well as how she really felt when Mary returned to RHOSLC.

Lisa Barlow and Mary Cosby’s Friendship

As Lisa explained in an interview on the September 5 premiere, she was in a strange place in her friendship with Mary when Season 4 commenced

“Mary and I didn’t really leave things bad, but the last text message I got from Mary wasn’t exactly nice,” Lisa said on the episode, before proceeding to read out the texts she received from Mary.

Mary may not have seen the situation the same way, as she noted that she did “feel good seeing Lisa” at Heather Gay’s brunch on the premiere.

Though the two didn’t address those texts at the brunch, Lisa revealed on WWHL that Mary did apologize for sending them — well, sort of.

“Mary apologized and then took the apology back. She took it back,” Lisa said on WWHL, before sharing why Mary rescinded her apology. “Yeah, I didn’t respond fast enough, so she’s like… [she] took it back.”

Lisa may not have received a typical apology from Mary, but she did recognize the silver lining in the matter.

“They’re very funny texts,” she added.

Lisa Barlow weighs in on Mary Cosby’s RHOSLC return

Lisa wasn’t on the best terms with Mary heading into Season 4, but the Queen of Sundance was still happy to see her return to the group.

“I was shocked, but she’s fun and I’m glad she’s back,” Lisa revealed on WWHL about how she reacted when she saw Mary.

That shock was evident during Season 4 Episode 1, as Lisa said, “Holy sh-t, Mary Cosby,” when the mom of one arrived at the brunch with Meredith.
