Did Steve Just Make a Dig Against Ryan?

Let's face it, Steve Gold took us all by surprise when he showed off some shorter locks last year on Instagram. It threw us all for a loop considering we had come to know and love the Million Dollar Listing New York agent with his flowing mane. The look also had Ryan Serhant buzzing when the trio of Big Apple real estate stars stopped by The Daily Dish HQ to discuss the new season, which, as it turns out, includes Steve's shorter hair: "Dude, you’re like Thor … you’re like Chris Hemsworth," Ryan shared. "I liked the long hair."

Ryan's take on the look aside, Steve noted that when it comes to the ladies, it's a real toss-up about which look they prefer for the model-turned-agent: "I mean some like it better longer; some like it better shorter."

Steve: Before and After.

Which brings us to why Steve decided to take a scissor to his hair in the first place. He explained, "I mean I always go through phases throughout my life with the length of my hair and I think I got tired of [it]. I knew I wanted to cut it actually last season but kept it more the whole time just for continuity. Just hearing man bun over and over again, like you know, you put your hair up when you don’t want it in your face, if you have long hair, you’ll realize that. I don’t think the length of my hair has any correlation with the business that I do. I think I’m still the same person regardless, but, I think, it’s different. I mean, I was ready for a haircut."
