Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio Are "So Elated" Over Top Chef's Tasty Emmy Nom
The #TopChef judges celebrate the show's big 11th nomination.
A big mazel goes to Top Chef on their 11th consecutive Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. And you can bet that Padma Lakshmi and Tom Colicchio are overjoyed by the big news.
"So elated that after so many seasons the Television Academy has again nominated Top Chef!” Padma, host and executive producer of Bravo’s Top Chef, said in a statement to The Daily Dish. “Congrats to all my cast and crew and our brilliant producers for the best show there is to work on. Feeling much gratitude this morning! Congrats also to RuPaul's Drag Race which is much loved on our set too!”
Tom, head judge and executive producer on the series, thanked Top Chef's "entire team" for helping to create a show worthy of an Emmy nod. "It's always nice to be recognized for the hard work the entire team does and this season was no exception. Congratulations to everyone for their hard work resulting in our eleventh Emmy nomination!"
Top Chef is going up against American Ninja Warrior, Project Runway, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Amazing Race, and The Voice. Top Chef took home this category back in 2010 and has also earned an Emmy for Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming in 2008. The 69th Primetime Emmy Awards are slated to air on September 17.
