How to Watch

Watch Top Chef Season 21 Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

On Instagram on November 26, the Bravo's Top Chef host and mother wrote, "Age may be a number, but hormones are *real*. ⁣⁣I thought when I got older, my endo would recede and I'd be more even-keeled. Little did I know that Mother Nature had another challenge in store for me."

She continued, "I haven't talked about it much, but my hormones are a literal mess. I feel like I'm going through puberty again. My body is at best, up and down, and my time in the gym doesn't produce the results it once did. I've also been super sensitive and easy to anger (or is that just the patriarchy?) We may never know..."

Padma was diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 36, and later founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America. In 2015, the organization launched the ENPOWR Project to help educate young women on the symptoms of endometriosis. "I wanted to raise awareness so that no young girl has to wonder what is wrong with her like I did for so many years," she said.

She also went to Washington D.C. to raise awareness for endometriosis in 2016.  While there, Padma met with senators Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, and Kirsten Gillibrand, according to The Washington Post. She also met with National Institutes of Health officials, and didn't sugarcoat what she had to say: “I’m going to be talking about my vagina … but you’ll make it out of here — it will be OK. No young girl should feel guilty, and no young girl should fall through the cracks."
