Kathy Hilton Opens Up About Paris Hilton's Upcoming Wedding

Paris Hilton has been engaged for several months. Back in February, her boyfriend, Carter Reum, proposed to her. "This past year with COVID has accelerated so many things. As someone who traveled constantly, I had a chance to stay home and reevaluate what was important to me. My relationship and the time I spent with Carter was a gift," Paris told PEOPLE at the time. "I'm excited for our next chapter."

Turns out her mom, Kathy Hilton, is looking forward to this next chapter for her daughter as well. "I haven't talked to her much about it. We've got to find a venue," Kathy told The Daily Dish in a recent phone interview. "I mean, I would love for her to get married in our church. We just have to see if it all will work out."

And you can bet Kathy is excited for the big day whenever it happens. "I love planning parties and love planning weddings. This will be my third," she said, with a laugh. Kathy's other kids, son Barron Hilton and daughter Nicky Hilton Rothschild, are already married; both also have kids. "I love to have my plate full," Kathy said.

Back in February, Kathy paid tribute to Paris to mark her birthday. At the time, she had just gotten engaged. "Happy birthday to my baby who made me a mom! You have accomplished so much in your lifetime and have changed so many people’s lives for the better. You have brought so much light and love and adventure to our lives. We are so proud of you! We love you endlessly," Kathy wrote. "And we are so excited for you and Carter in this next stage of life."

Fans will get to go inside all the wedding planning on the upcoming Peacock 13-part docuseries, Paris In Love, which was announced earlier this month as a series pick-up. "Bride To Be. I’m so excited to share my wedding journey with you on my new show coming soon to @PeacockTV," Paris wrote on Instagram following the announcement. "What part of me planning the wedding do you want to see most?"

According to a press release, "In Paris In Love, international influencer and one of the world’s most eligible bachelorettes is finally ready to walk down the aisle with the man of her dreams, venture capitalist Carter Reum. In the 13-episode docuseries, we will follow Paris Hilton as she prepares for the big day, including the big day itself. From bridal dress shopping and choosing the venue to designing her dream destination wedding and participating in what certainly will be a fun and crazy bachelorette party, viewers will be along for an entertaining and emotional ride and will witness a personal side of Paris that only her closest friends and family get to see."

About her future husband, Paris shared earlier this year,  "When you find your soulmate, you don’t just know it. You feel it."

Just last month, Paris reflected on their relationship: "Happy 17 Month Anniversary to my love Carter. I’m so happy that our souls found each other in this life. You lift me up and inspire me in ways you’ll never fully know and I’m so thankful. When I look back at the memories we’ve already created together, I get so emotional and excited thinking about the adventures that still await us and the experiences we are destined to enjoy in this life. You make me dream bigger than I ever have before. My twin flame. My other half. I love our love!"
