This Is What Phaedra Parks' Ex-Husband Apollo Nida Looks Like Today
We last saw The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum's ex-husband prior to the start of his prison sentence in 2014.
The last time we saw Phaedra Parks' ex-husband Apollo Nida on The Real Housewives of Atlanta was in Season 7 right before he began his eight-year prison sentence for fraud and identity theft in 2014. Five years later, Apollo is looking quite different these days.
Apollo's fiancée, Sherien Almufti, has been sharing what appear to be recent photos of her man on Instagram this month following his release from prison into a halfway house and then subsequent return to custody. One photo shows Sherien embracing Apollo, who now appears to have longer hair and a beard, and giving him a kiss on the cheek. Another pic shows the couple taking a selfie together in a car.
Sherien also opened up about the day Apollo was released from prison earlier this month as she shared how proud she is of him as a dad to his two sons with Phaedra, Ayden, 9, and Dylan, 6, as well as her 10-year-old daughter, this Father's Day.
"To the love of my life.... When I picked you up, the FIRST thing you wanted to do, was call your children. What a beautiful thing to witness, they were sooo happy to hear from you," Sherien gushed in a post that also featured a photo of herself and Apollo walking outside. "Baby, it takes a certain type of man to be the father figure of a child that isn’t your own. I thank you for being the best daddy #princess ever had. One day they will all be in your arms and you will NEVER let go! Happy Father’s Day."
After Apollo's prison sentence was reduced by one year, he was released from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey in early June and moved into a halfway house in Philadelphia where he was expected to stay until the middle of October. But just days after Apollo's release, he was taken back into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service for allegedly breaking a technical condition of his release. It is unclear what terms of Apollo's release were said to have been violated.
Apollo is currently listed as an inmate at the FDC of Philadelphia, according to online records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons. His release date is listed as October 15, 2019.
Sherien has been by Apollo's side in the last few years of his prison sentence. The couple got engaged while Apollo was still in prison in 2016. Sherien made an appearance on RHOA in Season 9 following their engagement.
Phaedra and Apollo wed in 2009, and she later announced plans to divorce him in 2014. They reportedly reached a divorce settlement in 2017.
