Marlo Hampton’s Shady Response to Kenya Moore

There has long been chatter among the Atlanta Housewives about how Marlo Hampton earns a living and funds her fabulous lifestyle. And with Marlo officially holding a peach in Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, those questions definitely have not stopped, even after the fashionista invited her fellow cast members to her gala celebrating her latest business venture, Lé Archive, in the season premiere.

How to Watch

Luckily, Marlo got a chance to respond to some of the comments during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on May 1 (clip above). Specifically, host Andy Cohen asked Marlo for her thoughts on Kandi Burruss “saying that you must be better at managing money than her because you still have your billionaire boyfriend’s coin from a decade ago.” However, Marlo corrected Kandi on WWHL, noting that she’s able to support herself, thanks to Lé Archive, a fashion showroom that rents out designer pieces, curated by the Atlanta Housewife herself. “You know what, Kandi, at the end of the day, that’s Archive money,” Marlo explained. “I know how to invest. It is what it is.”

Kenya Moore also had something to say about how Marlo makes her money in the RHOA Season 14 premiere, in addition to other comments about the Lé Archive event, including that memorable invitation. See how Marlo reacted to it all, as well as the confusion surrounding her choice not to have a runway show at the soirée, in the WWHL clip above.

Even Marlo’s fellow WWHL guest Gabrielle Dennis had to point out that it would have been better for the Atlanta Housewife not to have made her grand entrance to the event so late into the evening. But Marlo had a perfectly good explanation as to why she arrived two hours after the official start time. “I mean, s--t, good things take time,” Marlo said. “I mean, they didn’t build Rome overnight.”

Clearly, first impressions are important, and Marlo admitted she didn’t initially get the best vibe from her fellow new Atlanta Housewife, Sanya Richards-Ross, whose shade about Lé Archive’s name Marlo also responds to in the above clip.

“It took a minute, because she was too under Drew [Sidora],” Marlo said at another point during WWHL (clip below). “You need to get to know every girl here first. And I wasn’t feeling it at first.”

But as Marlo did get to know Sanya, her feelings about the four-time Olympic gold medalist definitely changed. “Oh, I love her,” Marlo shared. “I love her to death now.”

As an executive producer of The Real Housewives, Andy is equally impressed with the RHOA newcomer. “She’s got great energy,” Andy said of Sanya on WWHL. “I’m very excited.”

Of course, Andy would have been remiss not to acknowledge that Marlo finally got her peach after several seasons as a friend on RHOA. He asked her what it means to finally be a full-fledged Housewife. “It means everything,” Marlo said. “I'm not leaving you guys ever. So this is home for me, just to let you know. I’m not going nowhere, OK?”
