Shereé Whitfield Reveals the Last Time She Saw Anthony the Party Planner
The RHOA OG reflected on her iconic “Who gon’ check me, boo?” moment on WWHL.
In Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Shereé Whitfield uttered the unforgettable line “Who gon’ check me, boo?” and cemented herself as an icon in the history of The Real Housewives.
But you may have forgotten that someone else was part of the equation of that memorable moment. Anthony, who at the time was helping Shereé plan her independence party in celebration of her divorce from Bob Whitfield, was on the receiving end of that phrase.
As you may recall, things became heated during a meeting between Shereé and Anthony when the Atlanta Housewife expressed her dissatisfaction with her party planner’s progress in organizing her event.
This episode of RHOA may have aired more than a decade ago, but let’s be real, it’s never not on our minds. In fact, the topic came up during the July 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. When guests Shereé and Phoebe Robinson bonded over their shared hometown of Cleveland, it jogged Andy Cohen’s memory of the moment, which also featured Shereé wondering if she should call Pookie from back home to come help her out.
Andy then asked Shereé during the WWHL After Show if she and Anthony ever crossed paths again. “I’ve never seen him since,” she says in the below clip.
However, Shereé has kept some mementos from the occasion. She told Andy that she definitely still has that green one-shoulder blouse, although she needs to track down those sunglasses. When she does, Andy said he would like for the shades to have a permanent home in the Bravo Clubhouse, and he asked Shereé to donate her blouse to The Real Housewives Museum at BravoCon 2022.
This isn’t the first time Andy has expressed his love for Shereé’s “Who gon’ check me, boo?” moment. While speaking about his book Glitter Every Day: 365 Quotes from Women I Love during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in November 2021, Andy said that this was one of his favorite lines of all time and that it still “resonates.”
“It’s just the ultimate clapback,” Andy said.
Married to Medicine’s Dr. Heavenly Kimes similarly had a lot of thoughts on Shereé and Anthony while recounting the tale of “Who gon’ check me, boo?” in Bedtime by Bravo. Check out the hilariously shady series at the top of this post.
