This Is Where Danielle Staub and Ex-Husband Marty Caffrey Stand Today
The RHONJ pal offers an update on her current status with her ex-husband.
Ultimately, romance may not have been in the cards for Danielle Staub and ex-husband Marty Caffrey, but that doesn't mean these two haven't remained close. After finalizing their divorce back in February, less than a year after they wed, the former The Real Housewives of New Jersey couple have found a way to make their relationship work.
"Marty and I are in a very good place because we're now protecting one another the way we always should have. We're not allowing anyone to get in between that," she told The Daily Dish this week. "We are divorced and we were robbed of our marriage... I think the best thing I can say is that although we are not married, we are still living in the home together and we get along quite nicely."
And the two are serving as a support system for one another, she added: "He feels the need to make sure that people understand that I'm not alone."
While Danielle was briefly engaged to Oliver Maier, the Duke of Provence, earlier this year following her split from Marty, she's not in any rush to get back into any relationship with anyone — including Marty.
"I think the latter [option] of that [of Marty and I remaining friends only] because I'm more interested in my new business ventures," she said. "No, that's my boyfriend now: just work and being successful and paving a path that no one can take from me ever again. I like it and Marty's very supportive of that."
