Dolores Catania Reveals an Update on Teresa Giudice's Recovery
The RHONJ cast member was hospitalized for an "emergency medical procedure" last week.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey's Dolores Catania is sharing an update on how Teresa Giudice is doing after being hospitalized for an "emergency medical procedure" last week.
"She had her appendix out. Now it just takes time to heal. But it was emergency surgery so she's in a lot of pain," Dolores told E! News on March 28, several days after Teresa's procedure.
Dolores noted that she "just spoke to" her longtime friend and "she's not well." Dolores added, "She's not feeling good at all. It's bad. She's in a tremendous amount of pain."
A rep for Teresa previously told E! News around the time of the procedure that "she is recuperating and is looking forward to speedy recovery... She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes."
In a separate statement to Page Six released last Thursday (March 24), Teresa's rep noted “she is in recovery, currently resting, and she thanks everyone for their prayers and well-wishes,” adding that the procedure was "non-cosmetic."
Teresa's daughter, Gia Giudice, was the first to post about the hospitalization on Instagram Stories last week. "Such a trooper. I love you," Gia captioned a photo of her mom in her hospital bed at the time. "Pray for a speedy recovery. I love you [Teresa]."
