Melissa Gorga Does Have “Hurt Feelings” Over Jennifer and Dolores Being Bridesmaids
Speaking of family matters, Dolores Catania is also opening up about Paulie’s loved ones in this RHONJ sneak peek.
Melissa Gorga may have declined Teresa Giudice’s offer to be a bridesmaid in her wedding to Luis “Louie” Ruelas, but that doesn’t mean she’s happy about the fact that Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin were asked to be in the bridal party.
Dolores and Jennifer shared the news with the other ladies (sans Teresa herself, who had COVID at the time) during the coffee reading on the April 4 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and they recounted how Teresa said she had a vision of the two walking down the aisle while she was meditating. Melissa pointed out that Dolores hadn’t even been invited to Teresa’s engagement party and noted in an interview that it was “so convenient, that meditation moment.”
Now, in a preview of the April 11 episode, which you can check out above, Melissa elaborates on why she never would have agreed to be in the wedding party.
“I definitely would never have said yes,” Melissa tells Jennifer about whether she regrets declining Teresa’s offer during Danielle Cabral’s Boujie Kidz pop-up event at Envy. “I don’t want to change my mind. She always blames everything on me, not the fact that she started this and she created the life we’re all living.”
Melissa may not be having second thoughts about being in Teresa’s bridal party, but she is “hurt” that her family isn’t more involved in the big day.
“At this point, I’m just trying to put [aside] any hurt feelings that I have about being excluded from the wedding, or that my kids aren’t in the wedding, or that Dolores and Jennifer are in the wedding and I’m not,” she says in an interview before explaining that, regardless of any drama, she wants Teresa’s bachelorette trip to Ireland to be a fun experience for all the ’Wives. “I don’t want to go into this trip in this beautiful country with a chip on my shoulder.”
Before the ladies leave for the Emerald Isle, Dolores meets up with her Irish boyfriend Paul “Paulie” Connell’s brother and sister-in-law for a rundown on what to expect on their trip (watch the video above to find out why they suggest leaving the Louboutins at home). In a confessional, Dolores then shares why she gets along with Paulie’s family so well.
“I adore them,” Dolores says. “They’re so much like my family, and that is, I think, a big bond between me and Paul.”
It remains to be seen if the RHONJ cast members will heed Paul’s family’s advice, but fans can check out the moment when the women arrive at their Irish castle lodging for the first time.
You can also find out why Rachel Fuda thinks the castle is “definitely haunted,” and why Teresa is “scared” to stay there, by watching the video above.
