Melissa Gorga Is “So Proud” of Antonia for This College Achievement
The RHONJ mom revealed the first school to offer her daughter admission for next fall.
Christmas came early for at least one member of the Gorga household. Believe it or not, The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom Melissa Gorga's daughter, Antonia, is a senior in high school, and the teen's very first college acceptance letter arrived just in time for the holidays.
In a post to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, December 21, Melissa proudly shared her girl's "Welcome to Penn State" package, indicating that she very well could become a Nittany Lion in 2023. "So proud of you [Antonia]," she wrote, noting this was only "acceptance number one!" The RHONJ daughter, for her part, reposted the story on her IG account.
Antonia's exciting news will certainly give the family, including Melissa's husband Joe Gorga and sons Gino and Joey, an extra something special to celebrate to cap off their Christmas season, which they kicked off with some special Thanksgiving family traditions.
“I’m all about starting the holidays early this year [and] making memories with my beautiful family,” she captioned a series of photos with Joe and Antonia in NYC. “A Broadway show [and] dinner with our baby girl.”
Joe, for his part, also shared a photo of himself with their daughter during the trip, captioning it, "I die for you [Antonia]," adding hashtags that read "daughter love" and “my life."
As Antonia has grown up before her parents' eyes, one thing Joe has had to come to terms with is his daughter having a boyfriend. "For me, as a dad, you look at [him] in [the] eyes like, 'You son of a bitch. What are you thinking?'" Joe admitted on the November 11 episode of the Chicks in the Office podcast. "It takes a minute."
He's already making progress though. "People [ask if I'm] old school," he added. "Now I’m starting to say, 'OK, you want him to come over? He can come over.'"
Joe should probably start preparing now for Antonia to possibly leave home in the Fall.
