Why Melissa Gorga Thinks the RHONJ Season 13 Reunion Will Be "Different" (UPDATED)

Plus, hear about how about how she's gathering "receipts" in preparation.

UPDATED (April 12, 2:58 P.M.): Melissa further discussed the upcoming RHONJ Season 13 reunion during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on April 11. Revealing how she's going to prepare, she said, "I'm gonna sleep the day before, I decided ... I want to sleep the whole day."

Not only that, but Melissa also wants to have her "receipts" in order. "I haven't felt like I needed to have receipts in a very long time, but I feel like there's a lot of accusations that aren't true," she added. "There's a lot of twists and turns. And they haven't done that in a while. I need to prove a lot, which I'm so upset about."

Joe then chimed in from the WWHL audience, telling Andy to "go deep" with the questions at the reunion. He also assured the host that while things have been particularly tense between him and Teresa, he's not ready to throw in the towel just yet. "It's never done," Joe said. "It's family, bro."

The original story continues below.

The drama on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13 is just getting started, but Melissa Gorga is already preparing for the reunion.

How? "I'm collecting my receipts," she revealed on a recent episode of Betches' Mention It All podcast. "I haven't had to do that in a really long time because people haven't lied like this or about me or Joe [Gorga] in a really long time, but I've been seeing a lot of lies out there, so I have receipts."

Melissa didn't elaborate on the "lies" she's preparing to debunk, but in continuing to talk about the RHONJ reunion, she said that she expects the upcoming one to be unlike previous iterations.

"Our reunions are always like ... we're going through [therapy] and Andy [Cohen]'s our therapist. I think this one will be a little different," she explained. "I think it's gonna be a lot more receipts ... kinda like what the other girls do, what the other franchises do."

As for the rest of the season, Melissa says to stay tuned amid the drama between her, Joe, and Teresa Guidice. As she put it, "What is real is what you actually watched on the show. The conversation between my sister-in-law and I, on the show, face to face, that's real. Believe that. Everything else is fluff."

Not just harmless fluff, though — instead, Melissa believes "there's a lot going on to try and just make us look bad, or as if we have bad intentions, or as if we're doing things for the wrong reasons."

The same could be said for the tension between her and Joe and Teresa, but she explained that there's more to the story that's been told. More specifically, Teresa choosing to not have Melissa as a bridesmaid isn't the real reason for their feud.

Teresa Giudice Discusses Her Family Drama in Therapy

"The truth is, I am happy for Teresa. I am," Melissa began. "I want her to have everything she's enjoying and I'm happy that she's in her new home [and] she has this new guy that she's in love with. Good for her. I'm happy for her and I don't want it to seem as if we don't want to support anything new that's going on in her life."

"At the time, we were very upset about a lot of things that you haven't seen yet and it's way deeper than the bridesmaid thing," she continued. "It's what happened before that. There's a little more of a backstory, obviously. You guys aren't getting it all yet but I think you will. You'll get the full story. But you don't have it yet."
