On June 28, Candiace confirmed the exciting news on Instagram. “SO humbled and HONORED to have completed the process and be invited to join the @recordingacademy (yes, the Grammys but SO much more,” she captioned a photo announcing herself as part of the 2022 member class.

She went on to add, “This is a wonderfully full circle moment for me and I cannot wait to get down and dirty keeping ART alive locally and globally. And shout out to my DC chapter! I am ready!”

This isn’t the only milestone moment that Candiace has experienced in her music career this year. Back in March, she announced her first official tour, in which she performed alongside several R&B legends.

"In honor of [Women's History Month] and [International Women's Day] (today) I cannot express how proud, honored and HUMBLED I am to be in the company of Black women who have inspired not only me, but entire generations of music lovers with their artistry, grit and sheer talent," Candiace wrote in the caption of her March 8 post, which featured the announcement of the "Femme It Forward" concert tour with the lineup including Faith Evans, SWV, Mya, and 702.
