Scheana and Lala Defend Kristen After Jax Questions If She’s “Mentally There” for a Kid
Jax had some NSFW comments in a sneak peek of The Valley after Kristen claimed she wasn't ready to have a baby with her ex.
The Valley's Kristen Doute may be planning for motherhood, but one person — ahem, Jax Taylor — thinks she’d be wise to reconsider.
In a preview of the new series, Jax discussed the challenges of having a child with his former Vanderpump Rules costars and new parents Lala Kent, Scheana Shay, and Brock Davies when Kristen joined the convo. Kristen — currently in a serious relationship with Luke Broderick — expressed her willingness to one day become a mother herself.
“Now that we’re on this children conversation, I just want you to make sure that you’re ready for this situation,” said Jax. “Are you?”
Kristen responded by asking Jax if he was ready before he and his wife, Brittany Cartwright, welcomed their son, Cruz, into their lives. Lala and Scheana then came to bat for their girl.

“No one is ready, Jax,” said Scheana.
“What makes you think that she wouldn’t be ready?” Lala wondered.
Jax told Kristen that having a child “isn’t like getting a dog.”
“Are you mentally there to have a child right now?” Jax emphasized. “I just want you to do your research.”
For her part, Kristen said she’d been ready to conceive “for a very long time.”
“If I want men to tell me when or when I cannot be a mother, I would just go hang out with Trump,” Kristen later told The Valley producers before dishing out one of her most infamous lines from Vanderpump Rules: “Jax, go suck a d*ck.”

Jason Caperna — expecting his first child with his wife, Janet Caperna — also stood up for Kristen (and mothers everywhere) when he asked if women were ever fully ready at any given time. For Scheana, he was “the voice of reason.”
Kristen began telling Jason that she realized during her last two-year relationship with Alex Menache that she wasn’t ready to become pregnant. That wasn’t the case with Luke, however, with Kristen adding she’d be happy to have a child at the current time.
Looking around wide-eyed, Jax loudly pumped the brakes on Kristen’s side chat.
“You were at my house here, telling Alex to [expletive] inside you,” Jax shouted. “I was standing right here! And then a week later, you guys broke up … you said it right here.”
Jax, who’s known Kristen for nearly two decades and with whom he was once involved in a cheating scandal in the earliest seasons of Vanderpump Rules, then alleged it was the “same conversation” he’d heard in years past.
“Just because I don’t tell you all the ins and outs of my personal relationship with my boyfriend doesn’t mean that we don’t have these conversations,” said Kristen.
The Valley’s Danny and Nia Booko cited Jax and Kristen’s 16-year friendship as the discussion continued. Even Janet said the concern probably “hurts more” from Jax because they’d been friends for so long.
“My feelings are hurt because you say, ‘We’re like brother and sister, we’re like family,’” Kristen told Jax.
“First of all, if I didn’t care about you, I’d be like, ‘Go ahead, have fun, have kids,’” Jax answered. “You want the tough love. That’s what you want from your friends.”
