Turns out Shep Rose Had a Globetrotting Career Before Southern Charm
The Southern Charm bachelor has definitely lived a colorful life.
Shep Rose is a busy dude. He's a member of the Southern Charm crew, is a proud dad dog to Lil Craig, owns a clothing line called Shep Gear, and he's invested in bars in the Charleston area. So, it's not like he's short of things to do. But, turns out before he did any of those things, he had quite the globetrotting career, which is hardly surprising given how often he jet sets around the world these days just for fun.
He reflected on his career before Southern Charm when he recently visited his alma mater, University of Georgia.
"Great visiting my old stomping grounds last week in Athens and the University of Georgia! Thank you to the UGA Entrepreneurship Program program for having me speak in class. I basically did 30 min[utes] of bad stand up that is sadly my life story," he joked on Instagram. "I did thoroughly enjoy fielding their questions and talking about my time working in South Florida, Dubai and failed attempt in Hong Kong in 2010 (funny story). The students and faculty were great. It’s awesome to see how UGA has grown and I’m proud to call it my alma mater!"
Shep went to UGA for undergrad and later went to the Vanderbilt University School of Management.
During an appearance on WWHL in 2017, Shep elaborated a bit more about his time in Dubai. "I've worked in Dubai. I've sold real [estate]. I lived in Dubai and sold real estate. It was crazy," he said. "So right now I'm happy just kind of being the bon vivant as it were."
He also joked a bit more about his bachelor life while speaking to The Daily Dish in 2019. When asked about his family's impressive lineage, he joked, "They're all very accomplished," adding with a laugh, "And then there's me."
