The Summer House cast member also weighed in on her involvement in the breakdown of Lindsay and Danielle’s friendship.

Paige DeSorbo doesn’t agree with being called a “mean girl” — but not for the reason you might expect.

How to Watch

For context, after Danielle Olivera expressed some concerns to Paige and a few of the other ladies about how quickly her best friend, Lindsay Hubbard, was moving in her relationship with Carl Radke on Summer House Season 7, Paige was the one who relayed that information to the Hubb House PR founder.

“[Danielle] was saying, ‘He’s only a year and a half sober, they might get engaged, they moved into a very expensive apartment,’” Paige told Lindsay about Danielle’s doubts on Season 7 Episode 6. “She was like, ‘I feel like they live in a fairy tale.’”

When Lindsay seemed surprised by Paige’s comments, the Winter House cast member said she “was under the impression that you knew how she felt. Like, that’s your best friend.”

While some online users thought Paige was stirring the pot and being a “mean girl” by telling Lindsay what Danielle said to the other ladies in confidence, the fashion contributor has a different perspective on the matter.

“I honestly think people think I’m a lot smarter than I am, which I love that for me,” Paige said during a chat with ET about the “mean girl” label. “I think it’s so insulting to the other girls that, like, I can manipulate their brain, because — as we know — I don’t do much. Like, I love lying in bed. So if people think I’m that smart at manipulating, I will take it, because the people around me know that I never know what’s going on.”

Though some Summer House fans are shocked by the demise of Lindsay and Danielle’s friendship, Paige went on to explain that the two have indeed had their fair share of disagreements over the years. As she put it, “I’ve spent five summers with them now. I’ve seen their relationship at their deepest point.”

Following filming for Season 7, Danielle and Lindsay have spoken separately about how their friendship issues have yet to be resolved.

During an appearance on the April 17 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lindsay revealed that the reunion would determine if Danielle got an invite to her upcoming wedding.

“I guess we’ll find out after the reunion,” Lindsay said.

Viewers will simply have to wait until then to find out if Danielle and Lindsay were able to make any progress in fixing their friendship.
