Melissa Gorga Offers an Update on Teresa Giudice Following That Emotional WWHL Interview
The RHONJ couple spoke in depth about the state of their lives with Andy Cohen.
On Sunday (October 27), Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice joined Andy Cohen for an emotional sit-down, The Real Housewives of New Jersey Special Event: Joe and Teresa Unlocked. It marked the first time the couple appeared together for an interview amid Joe's ongoing deportation case and since his release from the ICE facility. Joe appeared via video from Italy where he was waiting on a decision to be made in the appeal in connection with his case, while Teresa was in the Clubhouse for the interview, which offered updates on everything from the state of their marriage to the state of his legal issues.
And now we know how Teresa is holding up afterward. "She’s doing good. Everyone’s good," Melissa Gorga told Extra this week. She added that while Joe is no longer in ICE custody, it's all “very bittersweet” since The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband is currently separated from his family (but remains hopeful that he could be reunited in the U.S. with them). Melissa noted in her interview with Extra that his daughters “are so happy 'cause they are FaceTiming him every second.”
Melissa also spoke to PEOPLE about her sister-in-law's WWHL interview, mirroring her comments to Extra, “She’s doing good. I think that the whole family is happy he’s out of that awful place. It’s bittersweet. There’s nothing else to say other than everyone is so happy he’s [out of prison] but unhappy that he’s not home [in New Jersey].”
