The Real Housewives of Potomac Returns for Season 6: Meet the New Cast Member
New faces, new rumors, and new drama are on the way when RHOP premieres this July.
The official trailer for Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Potomac begins with an observation from the always astute Dr. Wendy Osefo: "One thing you learn about living in Potomac: It's a town of smoke and mirrors. You never know who you can trust."
That definitely seems to be the case in the upcoming season of RHOP with new rumors swirling and new drama among this group of friends. In addition to Wendy, Gizelle Bryant, Karen Huger, Ashley Darby, Robyn Dixon, and Candiace Dillard Bassett will all be returning for RHOP Season 6, which kicks off with a supersized 75-minute premiere episode on Sunday, July 11 at 8/7c.
They'll also be welcoming new Housewife, Mia Thornton, whom Karen describes as "a boss" and "a breath of fresh air" in the trailer for Season 6. After overcoming adversity in her childhood, Mia is now an entrepreneur with multiple businesses, a wife to her successful husband, who is 32 years her senior, and a mother of three.
Along with Mia, Askale Davis joins the group as a friend in the new season. Robyn's pal is a stylish mother of three with a proud Ethiopian heritage.
As the returning RHOP ladies get to know these new additions to their group, we'll also see them deal with some major issues in their own personal lives. After getting back together with her ex-husband, Jamal Bryant, Gizelle admits in the trailer for the upcoming season, "Jamal and I having a pandemic long distance relationship is not working." Hot off of getting engaged to ex-husband Juan Dixon last season of RHOP, Robyn is feeling the pressure of building a house, running a business, and possibly planning a wedding, which may be putting a strain on her relationship.
With Karen's institution of a marriage with husband Ray Huger stronger than ever, she will be trying to commemorate 25 years together in a big way this season. Ashley is also in an important chapter of her life after welcoming her second child, son Dylan, in March. But with two small kids at home, which also includes son Dean, who will turn 2 in July, Ashley and husband Michael Darby may run into some challenges in getting their own relationship back on track.
Candiace will also experience some obstacles in her relationship with her husband, Chris Bassett, as he becomes something of a "husbanger" to help her as she heads back to school for her master's degree, works on her album, and pursues acting. As Wendy similarly goes after her dreams, her husband, Eddie Osefo, expresses that he's not getting "100 percent" from his wife.
Along the way, there will be no shortage of tea spilled, jaws dropped, and laugh-out-loud moments from this crew. Check out everything that's coming up in RHOP Season 6, above.
