For this week's episode of Last Chance Kitchen, Tom Colicchio is joined by none other than Bravo's Top Chef alums Kwame Onwuachi and Gregory Gourdet, who have been featured on Season 18 as members of an all-star panel of judges.
In the latest episode of Last Chance Kitchen, the contestant eliminated in the April 15 episode of Top Chef faces off against the winner of last week's Last Chance Kitchen challenge as each cheftesant cooks for their chance to get back into the game. The catch this time around? They must use just one pot to make a meal as a nod to the week's episode, which highlighted Pan African cuisine.
"In many African cuisines, one pot cooking is incredibly common, like gumbo, okra stew, or even rice dishes like jambalaya," Kwame explains to the cheftestants in the episode, above. "Normally they'll take hours to develop This time, you only have 30 minutes."
Gregory added this bit of advice for the cooks: "Today, really think about who you are. Think about what you love to cook. And make us some delicious food."
To find out how the cheftestants fared cooking up some tasty delights in one pot for their chance at redemption, check out the Last Chance Kitchen episode, above.
And tune in next week to see what happens next on Last Chance Kitchen. "Last Chance Kitchen is back. 15 acclaimed chefs from all around the country have come here to Portland to compete for the title of Top Chef. For most, their time in the kitchen will be cut short. But before they pack their knives for good, they'll have one last chance to battle it out for a spot back into the competition," Tom previously explained. "We all love a comeback story."
