Tom Sandoval Reveals the Secret to His Vanderpump Rules Look

Sometimes friends do shady things to each other. And if you're a member of the Vanderpump Rules crew, sometimes those actions will play out on television for all the world to see. No one knows this better than Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, who confronted friend Sheana Shay during the Vanderpump Rules Season 4 reunion after she texted Ariana's mom about Tom behind her back (clip above). When Tom recently spoke to Jezebel, he opened up about whether he thinks being on TV makes his friends act, well, shadier.

"I don’t know. Everybody has their biggest fears when it comes to being on a reality show—like, 'No matter what happens, I’m never going to do this.' For some people it’s just aesthetics, like, 'I’m never gonna look sh**ty on camera.' Some people are like, 'I’m never gonna yell.' Mine is like, I’m never going to do anything bad," he said. "One of my biggest things in life is that I’m a good person, you know? And when somebody tries to attack that, then most of the time, they’re f***ing lying. I don’t do anything maliciously. So when somebody tries to say that I’m somebody that I’m not, I get really, really heated about it. You can say that I’m a douchebag, that I’m cheesy, vain, whatever, you can say all that stuff, I don’t care. But if you say I’m not a good person, that’s where I get really pissed."

Speaking of on-camera vanities, Tom dished on the topic that's been on all of our minds: his beauty routine. "I have a concealer that I’ll wear sometimes, just if I have any dark circles. And sometimes if it’s hot, I’ll throw on some powder to keep me from looking like Jax. Jax is always so sweaty and greasy looking," he explained. "I do get spray tans sometimes, yeah. Every once in a while [I’ll go to a tanning bed], but normally I do spray tans. The funny thing is, anything that I do or wear on our show, everybody else does the same f***ing thing."
