Tom Schwartz Says Jax Will Be “Divorced and Miserable” Like Him in New Trailer for The Valley
Is Jax Taylor no longer attracted to Brittany Cartwright? Divorce rumors continue to swirl, and not just for the former Vanderpump Rules stars, in the latest trailer for The Valley.
The latest trailer for the new Bravo series The Valley is filled with fun moments, but it’s also dropping bombshells about where Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright currently stand with their marriage.
Since announcing their recent separation, both former Vanderpump Rules stars have been at the center of rumors, theories, and social media speculation. Some answers will seemingly be shown in The Valley, premiering Tuesday, March 19, 2024, on Bravo, as demonstrated by the new trailer, which has Jax and Brittany opening up about their relationship woes to friends.
Here’s what we know:
Tom Schwartz Predicts Jax Taylor's Divorce
In the new teaser, Jax said he was happy to be in this phase of life where he could enjoy fatherhood and financial security, especially upon opening Jax’s Studio City, the sports bar he co-owns with Brittany. There to help him celebrate was none other than Vanderpump Rules’ Tom Schwartz.
“It’s only a matter of time before you’re gonna be living with me,” Jax’s long-time friend said in jest. “Divorced and miserable.”
(For his part, Schwartz and Katie Maloney divorced in 2022.)
What was meant to be a joke could have been foreshadowing, especially upon news that Jax and Brittany — who married in 2019 and share a toddler son, Cruz — are “taking some time apart,” as Brittany put it.
On a March 8, 2024 episode of the couple’s podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany, they said cameras were back up and running since filming for The Valley wrapped in September.
Both vehemently denied their split was part of a publicity stunt.

“It’s gonna be such a good show,” Brittany emphasized. “There’s so many positive things that we go through, there’s a lot of drama but, you know. It’s a lot going on.”
What will happen on The Valley?
Drama between the married couple is front and center in the new trailer. Both argue over the prospect of having a second child, something Jax referred to as “worrisome.”
Later, Brittany gave more details about their bumpy marriage when in conversation with Janet Caperna.
“I don’t feel like he’s attracted to me,” Brittany said. “Like, we don’t have sex ever.”
In another clip, Jax told his wife: “I don’t know how to manage raising a child, raising a family, starting a business.”
Things got especially heated in front of the rest of the cast when Brittany and Jax got into a screaming match.
“You’re my f-cking husband, and you’re trying to make me look like I’m a bad person?” Brittany yelled. “F-ck you!”
“She has a f-cking problem,” Jax angrily pointed out to the others.
The couple previously said on their podcast that their breakup had “zero to do with” alcohol and drinking — as has been the case in some of Jax’s past relationships — although the new trailer does tease accusations of cheating.
Who's getting divorced on The Valley?
In the trailer, Janet and her husband, Jason Caperna, go back and forth over rumors of “Jax cheating online” before cameras cut to Jax talking to Michelle Lally about her allegedly “texting sexy pictures" to a mysterious someone.
Could this contribute to other relationships in The Valley being on the brink of divorce?
“Do you want this relationship to work?” asked Michelle’s husband and Jax’s long-time friend, Jesse Lally.
“I don’t know,” Michelle answered.
Vanderpump Rules alum Kristen Doute also finds herself at the center of the Lallys’ tension, smirking when Michelle yells, “Do you know what you have done to my marriage and my life and my daughter?”
“Your husband said on camera that he’s gonna divorce you,” Kristen claimed in response.
